KUBONG SAWALI FASTFOOD AND RESTAURANT was put up last October 18, 2003 with the zeal and eagerness of the owners to introduce exotic and authentic Filipino and Ilocano dishes that are rarely seen in most of the restaurants in the City of Baguio.
KUBONG SAWALI serves dishes that are both healthy and nutritious which satisfies to the sensitive palates of local, regional, as well as foreign customers, young and old alike. The restaurant serves grilled seafoods, like Stingray, Shark, "Binusog na Pusit", Blue Marlin bellies, Bangus and Hito. Its specialty dishes are Dinakdakan, Dinuguan, Imbaliktad, Kilawin Susay, Adobong Igat, Pulpog and Meriendas Filipino Style. It became the object then of the establishment to bring its contemporary Filipino cooking at its best to its customers.
Because of its uniqueness in terms of the food being served and the place where it is presently operating at no. 11 Military Cut-Off, Baguio City, KUBONG SAWALI was able t attract numerous patrons in a very short period of time. The place also became a venue for small and big conferences and was able to give its customers the right place not only to dine but to unwind as they enjoy the ambience, serenity and its openness a nice and warm watering hole for all kinds of people, a place like Home.
As KUBONG SAWALI became an instant success and experienced unexpected demands from its loyal patrons, the restaurant decided to extend further its business by introducing catering services for any occasions whether inside or outside the establishment. Its catering services are now fully operational and was able to develop a high standard of services and food preparations to the fullest satisfactions of its owners and patrons alike.
On October 28, 2004, a year after the first restaurant was inaugurated, KUBONG SAWALI opened another outlet at SM CITY Baguio with the objective of expanding its services to much wider market. It was at SM that KUBONG SAWALI introduced its top selling Filipino Dishes such as Binudbod, Balot-balot sa dahon and Bilao meals which as expected, were accepted and patronized by new customers and it was able to capture a sizesable market share in the food business.
Now with the overwhelming success of its two outlets, the owners of KUBONG SAWALI envisioned to expand further its operations by opening up new restaurants not only in Baguio but also in neigboring towns and cities.
On December 1, 2006, KUBONG SAWALI opened another outlet located at National Highway of Bauang La Union making it the first out of Baguio city expansion and on June 1, 2007 a year after KUBONG SAWALI added ZIO'S All In One Shop on its services a bakeshop, and a convenience store. |
